Mrs. Parvathi runs a small flower shop outside the local Kali Temple in her native village of Kollangudi. Selling devotees various types of flowers, coconuts and other puja paraphernalia, she made just enough to sustain herself and her family. Despite having made peace with her limited means, her only unfulfilled dream was to build a house which she could call her own. A window of opportunity opened up once her children had grown up and her financial commitments towards them had ceased. She approached several banks for a housing loan but found their documentation and approval process daunting and intimidating. It was at this juncture that she approached NHFL where the courteous and helpful staff guided her through the approval process in no time. Today, as a proud house-owner, she swears by NHFL’s service and is only happy that years of plying her trade at the doorstep of the mighty Kali’s shrine has not gone in vain as the goddess seems to have paid heed to her prayers.
Mr. Ramu, a resident of Mayiladuthurai, undertakes construction work on a contract basis. Having been instrumental in bringing to reality, the “dream homes” of many individuals and families, it was but natural that he longed for the day he would oversee the renovation of his old, dilapidated house. That longing bore fruit when he set foot into the offices of NHFL’s Mayiladuthurai Branch. Since his loan’s approval, he has repeatedly praised NHFL’s loan approval process, drawing comparisons to some of his friends who are still submitting documents to their banks for loan sanction. During the Covid period, Mr. Ramu availed of the moratorium mandated by the RBI and Central Government. He was extremely touched by how NHFL staff went over and beyond granting the legally mandated moratorium option by regularly checking up on his and his family’s well-being during the lockdown. Mr. Ramu vouches for NHFL’s humane approach towards debt collection.

Mrs. Rani’s dream of constructing a 2-storey house came true courtesy NHFL’s credit grant. Her husband, Mr. Harikrishna, works as a clerk at Standard Fireworks in Sivakasi. The couple worked hard to ensure their son gets a good education and today he is well placed in the IT industry. In recent years, the fireworks industry in India has been faced with headwinds. Yet, they have shown great tenacity in the face of adversity to not only fend for themselves but also repay the loan by pooling the family’s resources. Mrs. Rani cites NHFL’s friendly staff and their encouragement as the motivation behind her regular payments. Standing from her second floor window, she gives NHFL a thumbs up.
Subbiahpandi - Sivakasi, Virudhunagar Dist, Tamilnadu
Mr. Subbiahpandi, a resident of Sivakasi, works as a printer machine mechanic in a local enterprise. With a job that required him to stand for a major part of the day in close proximity to the heat generated by the printers, he dreamt of the day he could return from work to the comforts of a well-ventilated house that he could call his own. He found a path towards his dream with the assistance of NHFL. Today he jovially remarks that if institutions demanded as few documents as NHFL does for its approval process, printing businesses would be soon out of business!
